About Dr David Hall

Dr David Hall

Having graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1987, David trained in psychiatry at Prince of Wales/Prince Henry Hospitals and the Royal North Shore Hospital system. He completed his specialist training through the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatry in 1996.

Dr Hall began treating post-traumatic stress disorder patients during his psychiatric training in 1993. The positive response to his treatment approach over the years has led to PTSD referrals now making up a large part of his practice

Since then, Dr Hall has engaged in further intensive training in EMDR, CBT, psychotheraphy and gained a clinical hypnosis qualification from the College of Medical Hypnosis in 1999.

David has been a member of the American Association of Psychiatrists since 2004.

David has worked as a Staff Specialist and Visiting Medical Officer in both public and private hospitals in the Northern Sydney region. In this capacity, David has supervised trainee psychiatrists over the years.

He has conducted research into rejection sensitivity and its relationship to depression and anxiety disorders.

David’s previous practices were at Neutral Bay and Macquarie Street.
